How It Works

  1. Step 1

    Healthcare workers bring the problems

Nurses, physicians, pharmacists and operations leads describe one workflow that eats their week. Scheduling, referrals, prior authorization, records, care coordination. Problems and workflows only, never patient data.

  2. Step 2

    Builders form teams

Engineers, designers, students and founders pick the problem they care about. Come with a team or find one in the room. Nobody gets assigned.

  3. Step 3

    Build for 24 hours

Healthcare workers stay on hand to answer questions, and mentors from sponsor companies help teams get unstuck. Meals and snacks the whole way through.

  4. Step 4

    Demo and judging

Teams demo to a panel of healthcare workers, investors and industry judges. Winners in every track. The teams that keep building after the weekend stay in the Cureon network.

Tracks

  • Chronic disease management

Tools that help patients and care teams manage conditions that never go away, between visits and not just during them.

  • Preventive care and wearables

Catch it earlier. Screening, monitoring and nudges built on the data people already carry around.

  • Caregiver support

For the family members and home health workers doing coordination work no system was built for.

  • Mental health tech

Access, intake, follow up and the paperwork that stands between people and care.

  • Longevity

Software for living well for longer, from aging in place to the care teams around older adults.

Questions

Who can come?
Engineers, designers, students, founders and anyone who works in healthcare. You do not need to have been to a hackathon before.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Food, drinks and the venue are covered by our sponsors.
Do I need a team?
No. Plenty of people come solo and find a team around a problem on Saturday morning.
I work in healthcare and do not code. Should I come?
Yes. The weekend does not work without you. You bring the problem, you tell teams when they are wrong, and you help judge what actually helps.
Will there be patient data?
Never. Healthcare workers describe problem categories and workflows. Teams build with public or synthetic data only.
How do I sponsor?
Email info@cureonhealth.org and we will send the full sponsorship packet with pricing.
